What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer I need at least the date and a brief description of the event. This way I can estimate the amount of work and time involved to provide the best quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly you should go on their website and social media account and see if you like their work, that is always a good start. Next, estimate your budget and find out if they provide a package that would suit you. Never be afraid to talk to a vendor as they may come up with a tailored quote that will suit your needs and budget.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started my business when I popped the question and realised how much a wedding can cost. I have been an amateur photographer for many years before that but wanting to give my wife the best wedding ever pushed me to start my own business. I never looked back since.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I am very picky about my bookings. I like to work with couples that can offer a unique experience and opportunities for unusual photos. Having said that, I absolutely love weddings, who doesn't? I get to meet new people, with some I still text and ADD TO EVENT have been great at providing me leads. One of the customers I found via this portal were a pair of farmers. Their wedding was a great mix of the casual event with a lot of farming quirks - like a tractor for photos or a huge stack of hay in the middle of the field. I will be using ADD TO EVENT for as long as the quality of the leads stay on this level.
